Live and let live

She is an awesome human being. Caring, loving, generous, sensitive and efficient. Commands respect and treats everyone fairly.

Stands in a shopping mall and says I don't want you to think I am a freak, I have a "partner". What could I do, except to give her a big hug and say she is not a freak and that she is still adorable, respectable and the nice person she is.

Why can't people live and let live and not stigmatize people for their personal preferences, be it food, clothes, color, caste, relationships ...........................

Because all people are connected by the single thread called divinity. Our mind is trained to imitate others and we expect the same from them too !

I too am part of the group that judges people on their preferences. But then I do change my mind once I know them better too!

(Sorry there were mistakes in the earlier comment.)

People need to cultivate sensitivity to others. For example, many people are so conscious of how they dress... spend hours of time and loads of cash ...., but very few are even half as much conscious of what they say. 'Live and let live' is perhaps the best philosophy that we all can have. Good post.

thank you pradeep. As my favorite writer jeyakanthan says - many a times our liberation happens in our outer apperance and not with our inner thoughts.
